Company ProfileAkron, Ohio is the home of A-1 Concrete Leveling, Inc. A-1 of Summit County was incorporated under the name Levelit, Inc. on May 1, 1992. Since our inception, we have provided thousands of customers with cost-effective alternatives to concrete replacement. With the ongoing support of our National A-1 Franchise, we continue to be a leader in the Concrete Leveling Industry. A Brief History of A-1 A-1 Concrete Leveling was started in 1982 by Grover Miller with the idea of providing customers a lower cost alternative to replacing settled concrete slabs. Grover's Industrial concrete experience included the lifting of dams, highway work, barges, airline runways and roadways. This background inspired Grover's ideas for creating a self-contained small truck system that would , offering flexible residential concrete repair solutions. Grover's vision was realized after many hours working in his barn/workshop in Peninsula, Ohio. He added and changed parts until the system was perfected. He patented his equipment and launched A-1 Concrete Leveling. Twenty-five years later, Grover's vision has resulted in the largest concrete leveling company in America. Grover is still an integral part of the day-to-day operations of A-1, as well as his continued work as an inventor. In 2001 he patented the "Quad Power" Piering system for raising buildings when the foundations have sunken. Levelit, Inc. was founded in 1992 by James Creed of Clinton, Ohio. Levelit became the first of more than 50 successful A-1 Concrete Leveling operations throughout the United States. Levelit Inc. has been owned and operated by Robert Keith and Patricia Henretta-Keith of Clinton, Ohio since 1998.
